A team of 2 Doctors, 4 Nurses and 5 helpers from VHS (Voluntary Health Service), Chennai arrived at the venue by 9 a.m and started their preparation for the drive.
Blood donation drive started by 9:30 am. We expected 3 categories of donors.
Mr. Ravindran, Suggested us to take responsibility of donors. We had to receive them, help them in filling registration forms, we also had to guide them to the blood donation room and provide them the nutrients after they donate blood. We split the responsibilities among ourselves and started working for the camp.
Key features about the drive:
We thank every donor who came forward to give blood, We thank Mr. Ravindran, Correspondent, Vivekananda Vidyalaya for engaging us and recognizing our efforts and service towards humanity. Our special thanks to the Parents, Teachers and the Alumnus of Vivekananda Vidyalaya who supported this camp and made the event a grand success.
We thank the VHS team (Voluntary Health Service, Chennai) for guiding us in this service. We also thank all the members and volunteers from Lions Club and Vivekananda Vidyalaya.
Last but not the least, it wouldn't have been possible to bring together such a huge amount of donors and win their patience towards a social motto. It happend because of our team work, 23 volunteers from KANAA & their time for this valuable serive. Thank you for the support. Way to go team!!!
